The Nursing Students for Global Health's (NSGH) mission is to participate in global efforts, improve healthcare and reduce health disparities through the promotion of global health education and advocacy. Through collaborations among New York University students, faculty, and community partners, we aim to build a dynamic community dedicated to promoting research, addressing public policies, and using the advancement of science to improve health and well-being. We believe the combination of community health education, along with increasing accessibility to resources serves as a way to empower people to take ownership over their human right to reaching maximum health. NSGH appreciates the opportunity nurses have to impact the greater community through actions that raise awareness about the state of global health, and aim to address health disparities at the local and international level. If you would like to join in promoting health and well-being within the NYU community and across the globe, please contact Nicole Alvarez, NSGH president, at na1283@nyu.edu.
